Obituary of Douglas E. Lea, III

Douglas Edward Lea, III was born on August 9, 2000, in Newark, DE to Douglas E. Lea, Jr and Jessica Klase.  He departed this life on August 28, 2019 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE.  

Douglas was baptized at Mount Salem UAME Church in Delaware City, DE.  He attended school in Brockton, NY, also attended Dunkirk Middle/Dunkirk High/McKean High School and then finished at Middletown High School in Middletown, DE. 

Dougie enjoyed fishing, dirt bikes, cars, crabs, hunting, most importantly hanging with his family and friends.  His goal in life was to become a mechanic.  

Dougie was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Carolyn Mae Lea; his maternal grandmother, Edith Hickman; his great grandfather, Adolf Poppe and his great grandmother, Olive Poppe.  

Douglas leaves to cherish his memories to his father, Douglas E. Lea, Jr. (Dawn Whitlock); his mother, Jessica Klase (Darin Wharton); his two sisters, Kaliah Wharton and Laelani Wharton; his brother, Darin Wharton; his grandfather, Douglas E. Lea, Sr.; his uncle, Richard Cheatwood; his aunt, Nakia Lea; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
