Obituary of Eric L. Wright

Eric Lavante Wright, know to some as “Longfellow” was called home on August 23rd.  He is preceded in death by his parents Arthur Hoover and Annie Lee Payne and Brother Anthony Payne.  Also,  Jarri  Lumpkin and Stanley Tilghman who were major parts of the Payne clan.  Eric was born on September 28, 1952 in Wilmington, Delaware.

He received his early education thru the Wilmington Public School System and is graduate of Howard High School.

Eric worked many years for Phoenix Steele, after his retirement he work part time for MBA. In recent years Eric spent time listening to his “vinyl records”, watching movies and learning now to surf the internet. One of Eric’s greatest enjoyments was going to the jazz festival with his brother Payne and styling. Eric would never be seen without sporting one of his famous hats.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory :   His daughter, Erica L Fennell,  Son Pierre Anderson(Lissetti).  Grandsons  Ryan Patrick Miles and Andre August Anderson.  Sister Jean Avery (Sylvester) and Iva Marie Henry (James) both of Wilmington, Delaware. Cynthia Butler of Jacksonville, FL and Tina Payne of Riverdale, GA.  Our Aunt Edna Grace Chamberlin of Wilmington, DE along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

 It is sweet to breathe thy name,

In life we loved you dearly
