Obituary of Lois E. Fields

Lois Elaine (Mitchell) Fields, Daughter of Elizabeth M. Henry and the late Franklin C. Henry was born on May 10, 1958 in Wilmington, Delaware. She departed this life on July 25, 2019 at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, PA.

Lois received her early education in the City of Wilmington Public School System. Lois was part of the first graduating class of Howard Career Center in June 1976. Upon graduation she began her career in food service. With her passion for cooking and food and her love of people, she worked in health care facilities, nursing homes, non-profit facilities and special needs centers as a kitchen supervisor and food service technician with over 40 years’ experience.

Lois loved music and dancing, going to concerts, and entertaining family and friends. Lois loved to be in her garden, she spent many hours tending to her plants bringing them to their full bloom and the beauty that is nature.

Lois was preceded in death by her father, Franklin Henry, brother, James Mitchell, sisters, Crystal Rodgers and Deborah Henry.

Lois leaves to cherish her memory, husband of 37 years, Douglas Keith Fields Sr., son, Douglas K. Fields Jr., Daughter-in-law Tiffany Fields,5 grandchildren, mother Elizabeth Henry, sisters Gloria and Cornelia, one aunt, Peggy Edwards, mother –in-law Mary Fields, sister-in-law, Cheryl Fields, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
