Jamal was a friend to all at William Penn High School. I met Jamal originally in Chorus at New Castle Middle. You could say we were the original "Glee". Jamal always had a smile and something funny to say. He is gone too soon, but he will brighten up Heaven as he did here. For his family and friends my thoughts and prayers. My condolences to Jay's family. I was sadden to hear of the passing of my dear friend Jemal. I still remember those good times we shared in high school. He would always have my back and kept me laughing and smiling no matter what kind of day we were having. Even after we became adults he always welcomed me into his home and heart. I will miss you Jay with all my heart.

To The Coleman Family,
I'm sorry to see that my life long neighbor Jemal has passed away. We were just talking about two and half months ago and I asked him how the family was doing. Maual and Damon you have my deepest sympathy, we all had good times growing up in Riverside hopping the gates and picking peaches out of the neighbor's tree. Jemal was a very friendly guy with a great sense of humor.
