We are honored to celebrate the life of Dana Daniels today and to recognize the tremendous impact she has had on those around her throughout her life. Her role as mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend has played a vital role in each of our lives and we are privileged to come together and honor her today.

Dana S. Daniels was born and raised in New York. She followed her family’s migration to Delaware where she built a life and raised children and grandchildren.

Never one for titles Dana treated many of her friends like family. As the matriarch of our family she fiercely protected and advocated for her nieces, nephews and godchildren. She was a pillar of the community and was always willing to lend an ear and give words of advice and encouragement. Her tell it like it is personality garnered respect from others because they always knew where they stood with her.

Dana was one of those incredibly lucky people who knew their calling early on. She loved being a CNA and considered her clients to be like family. Her commitment to service made her a stand out in her company and an irreplaceable asset. She not only cared for the sick, elderly and disabled, she empowered them to be independent and to strive for the best quality of life earth has to offer.

Dana was preceded in death by her father Thomas, mother Cecile, brothers Thomas, Derek, Brian and aunt Blanche.

Dana will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Lashonda, Cha-ney and Danielle, her grandsons Uriah, Teon, Baron, Isaiah, partner Stanley, brother and sister in law Kevin (Phyllis) and father Paul. Many many nieces, nephews and cousins.
