Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Covington

Mary Elizabeth Covington, born April 10, 1957 to the late Ella Belle Covington and Willie Reeder. She was the second of three children. Mary developed a lifelong love of family and appreciation for hard work. Her family was her major focus and the time she spent with her loved ones gave her a sense of happiness that lasted throughout her life. She received her early education from North East Elementary School and attended P.S. Dupont High School, HOLLER! She made many friends during those years and proved through her decades of friendships.

            In 2000, Mary married Shannon Wilson and they blended families to become the proud parents of seven children. She was preceded in death by her Mother Ella Covington, her brother Wilbert Knotts, and nephew DeVaughn Covington.

Mary is survived by her three sons, Antwine Covington, Kavii Covington, and LaTrance’ Johnson; daughters, Tysheik Covington, Kwame’ Covington, Syesa Jackson, & Chloe Wilson; One sister, Norma Covigton-Selby (Wayne Selby); sister, Bernadette Wright;  sister in law, Diane Knotts & a beloved companion Michael Dendy, grandchildren, Shaniqua, Shaquea, Jua’Keen, Antwine Jr., Kavii Jr., Amaya, Zakiya, Elyse, Logan, Zoe, Jordan, Alex Jr., Jerimiah; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
