When I met Gene at DP all those years ago his winning personality showed right away. We shared the love of the Miami Dolphins and animals. He was always fun to be around and made me laugh. I was very sad to hear of his passing and send my thoughts and prayers to his friends and family. Rest well Gene, you will be missed!

Gene:
You were one of the most decent human beings I have ever met. You were everything a man is supposed to be. I treasure the memories of the ten years we worked together. You were smart and had great leadership skills. Your kindness, compassion, and decency were your calling cards. You were funny enough to be a stand-up comic. I will always remember you for your kindness and compassion that you afforded to everyone who met. And I will also remember you for your love of sports (especially your beloved Miami Dolphins) and your love of animals. There is nothing you wouldn't do for an animal in need. I’ve known Gene for 13 years. He was the supervisor who trained me from the beginning of my career at Delaware Park. He was always so helpful and understanding. He taught me to be confident in my abilities and to always trust myself in my work. He was always ready to help, and definitely ready to joke around! I’ll miss making him laugh so hard that nothing comes out and he just bangs his fist on the desk. I have a lot of fond memories of Gene. He was a good man. A good supervisor. A God fearing man... and a true friend. My love and prayers go out to his family. May God shelter you within his wings and give you comfort and peace.

My Dad was my best friend, not a day will go by that I won’t think of him. He was one of my biggest supporters, he kept me pushing & I’ll continue it for him. He was always there for me no matter what. I will miss our 4 hour long talks everyday. Rest peacefully Daddy, I love you forever.

My dad was a great man. He loved everyone so much. He also loved my Mother Keisha Larkin as well. Even though they didn't stay together they remained great friends and he never stopped loving her.
