Obituary of Theresa Ann Harris

Theresa Ann Harris was born on December 10, 1949 to Lorenzo and Evelyn Harris. She transitioned on Saturday, September 1st at home in New Castle, Delaware. Theresa received her education from Mary C.I. Williams, Bancroft and George Gray Schools. She graduated from Job Corps and obtained her GED. Theresa worked as a keypunch operator, Paralegal and Banking Associate for a number of years before she became ill. Our beloved Mother was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Mom enjoyed shopping, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents: Lorenzo and Evelyn Harris; 4 brothers: Lorenzo, Reginald, William and Victor Harris, 1 grandson: Alphonso Boyd.

Theresa is survived by her five children: Reginald L Harris, Louise M. Shelton (Sherman Sr.), John W. Hoskins Jr., Evelyn T. Butler, Wyndell A. Hoskins (Erykah Fountain); 2 siblings; Lewis Martin Sr.  and Sevella Jones; 16 grandchildren, 22 great- grand children, who affectionately called her Mom Mom, Grand mom and Granny Grits.

She leaves to cherish a devoted friend Doris Lambert and a host of relatives and friends. Special thanks are given to Patty Anchor,  the Home Health Care Aides of CCVNA; Nurses Staff of Bayada Healthcare  and Trudy from Epic Health.
