Mom, I love you and I miss you as much as I ever have. I was listening to the song, "When Sunday Comes" and it reminded me that early one Sunday morning, August 26th, you went home to be with the Lord. Not a day goes by when I do not think you and at the same time, I think God for blessing me (and our family) with a saved mother. I still cry when I think of you but I know that I will see you again. Thank you Mom for teaching me how to pray.

Mom, I miss you so much. You were such an awesome mother!! I am so grateful to the Lord to have been blessed with a saved mother. You always had a kind, encouraging word for everyone. Your smile was as bright as the sun. You served the Lord all the days of your life, so I know that for you, to be absent from the body is to present with the Lord. I take great comfort in knowing that you are where you wanted to be. Still I miss you so much. I wish I could feel you pat my hand or touch my face. Our last song that we sang together two weeks before you went away was "When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing there will be". Please accept my deepest condolences for the passing of Mrs. Addie Lee McCants. God is not ignorant about those sleeping in death. 1THessalonians 4: 13-18. He keeps them in his memory. Isaiah 25:8 says, God will swallow up death forever. God will wipe away the tears from all faces. I hope these scriptures bring you a measure of comfort. I did have the privilege of knowing and growing up with the family from our east side experiences.
