Benson Family,
I was sadden in hearing the loss of your Father. I worked for DuPont when I first met Jerome. A truly wonderful, positive man. Always had a big smile and laugh. He was willing to answer my questions any time. He enjoyed sports but always enjoyed talking basketball with me. He always ran the NCAA pool and would laugh at the long shot picks I would make but he knew sometimes you had to make them to win. Be at peace knowing that your father was loved by his co-workers. May your Fathers memories give you strength thru these trying times. Be at peace knowing he is in heaven today.

Benson Family -
I worked with your Dad for many years at DuPont. To say I such fond memories of Jerome is an understatement. I knew Jerome as a very giving, understanding, calm, kind, and loving. In all that he did and said, Jerome was first class for sure. His moral code and the way that he did not only his job, but how he treated people will forever be a guide to me. He showed me how to be a great co-worker.
I also knew Jerome as a family man. I'm sure I speak for others when I say that he would always be a private person. But every once in awhile he would tell us about this wonderful wife of his named Cookie. And the kids, how proud he was when he shared something that they did. When Jerome mentioned his family, you knew what he felt about the three of you. I can still see that huge smile on his face, the proud father/husband, and all the love that he had for the three of you.
I am so sorry for your loss. Jerome was the best of the best for sure, and the world is a little more sadder without him being here. Please accept my sympathy, and I cannot wait until God calls him from his rest and we see him again.

Mr. Benson was a great men cared a lot about the youth. I remember his basketball tournaments in high school during Memorial Day weekend. We looked forward to those games. Prayers to the family Mr. Benson will be missed.
