To my family: Aunt Sophie was one of the pillars in the community who was there to help me along the way as I was growing up. I remember sitting in that kitchen with her as a child getting wisdom, good food and most importantly,love. I can remember one summer I was at her house every day playing with my cousin Tanya (RIP). She always made us feel special and that summer she let us have a dance in her basement and invite all of our friends in the neighborhood. I never forgot that because she didn't have to do it but she did because she loved making children happy. She and my mother Boo shared a special relationship and after my mother passed each time I saw her I could see the hurt in her eyes and she would always say that she missed her best friend. Well Aunt Sophie, you and my Mom are together again doing what you both did best, which was to watch over people. So keep watching over us. You will be missed by everyone whose life you touched. Love you Aunt Sophie.
