Glady’s Family: I am so very, very sad to read Gladys’ obit. My husband was a patient in Churchman’s Village in 2009, and I met Gladys at that time. We were both smokers (not any more) and book lovers. She really didn’t want to talk, but I made her. He came home to Rehoboth Beach in November 2009 and passed away in 2010. I continued to visit Gladys and was there a month ago. Many times I stopped at the donut shop first and brought her a donut with a cup of coffee. I brought her reading material such as People magazines. I, also, told her jokes and made her laugh each visit. I, also, told her I loved her and did my best to cheer her up.....and it worked. I heard about her family (all very attractive) that was far away and her sister who lived here in Delaware. I am giving sympathy to all of those people who loved Gladys. To the family, Gladys and I were book buddies in the Attorney General’s office, but I couldn’t keep up with her. We exchanged many novels. I did have a chance to visit with her a few times. She had a good sense of humor and we laughed a lot at work. I’m sure she will be missed by her family.

My dearest Niter, I will always remember how you loved to sing... and hosting "American Bandstand", our fake singing show, when you were babysitting us, when we lived in Eden Park. Those are fond memories! I loved singing (with the hairbrush you gave me as the microphone) the MoTown songs... My Guy and I sold My Heart to the Junk Man! Such happy times.
