Obituary of Joyce E. Scott

Joyce E. Scott departed this life to enter into eternal peace on March 14, 2018 at Christiana Hospital.  She was 70 years old.  

Joyce was born on May 4, 1947 in Milford, De. to the late Ellis Flamer and Viola M. Scott of Harrigton, De.  Joyce worked as a production worker for Playtex and  also worked as a baker at a local food chain for many years before becoming a homemaker and loving wife to her husband, Leven Scott of 24 years who has been loving, supportive and dedicated to her.  

Joyce was a faithful member of St. John's A.U.M.P. Church where the Lord continued to give her reasonable strength to fight the good fight of faith.  She loved to fellowship with her church family and other churches that she would visit.  She also loved spending time with family and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter Brenda Barnes; 3 sisters, Shirley Stevens, Clara Mitchell and Cora Johnson and brother, Maurice Scott.

Joyce leaves to mourn her death, a daughter Angela Barnes, 2 sons, James Barnes and Anthony Barnes, sister Patricia Taylor and husband Lester Taylor; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, a dear friend Mable Harmon as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
