Obituary of Leone Ethel Baker

Leone E. Baker "Lynn", age 88 of Wilmington, De. began her new journey on March 9, 2018 in the comfort of her own home.

Lynn was born in Blaire County, South Carolina to the late James and Alice McClurkin on April 7, 1929.  In her early years she spent her days working on the family farm along side her twelve siblings and beloved parents.  She not only helped cultivate her family's land but built unbreakable bonds with family and friends along the way. 

After giving birth to her first son, Johnnie Mac, she turned her country side ways to move to the city where she marked her place and created a family with her husband, James Baker.  In her new hometown, Lynn welcomed four additional souls into the world, Wayne, Stanley, Sue and Pat.  Lynn valued the covnant of motherhood and spent her years as a full-time mom raising her children.  Aside from being a wife and mother, she was known to have a hot hand and a lucky touch in her card games and lottery numbers.  Underneath the layers of Lynn, she stood firm on the foundation of faith in the Lord.  

Lynn is survived by her loving husband James, her four children and a host of grand and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She has finally reunited with her beloved son Stanley.
