Obituary of Charles Rudolph Rochester, Sr.

Charles Rudolph Rochester, Sr., departed this life on Saturday, February 17th, 2018 at the Compass Hospice Regional Center in Centreville, MD. 

He was born December 15th, 1940 in Rock Hall, Maryland.  He was the son of the late James (Sr.) and Estelle Rochester. Rudolph was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth “Cindy” Rochester, one son; Charles “Brother Man” Rochester, Jr., three sisters; Leslie Rochester, Marva Eadie, and Ruby Hamilton.

He is survived by his wife; Rosalee of 26 years, two brothers; George R. “Pie” Rochester and James L. “Bates” Rochester, Jr.,  three daughters; Desiree Rochester, Teresa (Jack) Miller, and Lisa Blunt Rochester,  two stepsons; Randolph Johnson, Sr., Sammy Wilson, one stepdaughter; Danette Boyer. Seven grandchildren; Tamika, Deanna, Randolph Jr., Tyffany, Jackie Jr. (Joann, Jordyn, Josiah), and Sharice “Reese”.  A mother-in-law, Rosetta Johnson, Two brother-in-laws; George Johnson and Jackie Johnson, two sister-in-laws; Nancy Bailey and Barbara (Glenn) Takano. Twelve great grandchildren, two special nieces; Sheryll James (Renald Allen) and Dr. Stacey Eadie (Phene Jean Claude), a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, and goddaughter; Rotina Daniels and godson Keithen. Special cousins Wilfred Rochester, Roger Hopkins and Michael Sisco, and 2 very special friends Garnett and Alice Demby.
