Journey of Veronica Ann Carr

 

Veronica Ann Carr was born March 2, 1944 in Paulsboro, NJ to Clinton A. and Gladys B.Groce. She passed away on October 11, 2017 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware.

 

Veronica “Ronnie” Ann Carr received her early childhood education from Mary Shoemaker Elementary School.  She graduated fromWoodstown High School.

 

Veronica worked at Nativity Day Care Center for twelve years and finally at Hodgson Vocational-Technical High School, until her health issues failed her.

 

“Ronnie” was a faithful member of Morning Star Baptist Church of Woodstown, NJ and later joined Pilgrim Baptist Church of Newark, Delaware.

 

Ronnie’s hobbies included sewing, crochet, bowling, reading, traveling, walking, talking about her family, and shopping.

 

Ronnie was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys; sister Dorothea and brothers Laverne and William “Billy”.

 

Ronnie is survived by her husband Wayne A. Carr, Sr.; children Angela Pittman, Deborah Smith, Wayne Carr, Jr.; brother, Wayne Groce; sisters, Olivia Purnell, Chicola Bryant, Marilyn Hill and Lorice Groce; grandchildren, Torrey Carr, Cassie Braunecker, Keon Pittman, Brian Carr and Andrew Smith; great-grandchildren, Gabe Braunecker, Isabela Braunecker and a host of other relatives and friends
