You all are in my prayers in the loss of Mr Larry. I was blessed to know the both of them as a child and they always found a way to make me laugh. Francine & Family,
There are few people in this world who find purpose in helping others to improve their lives. Larry was such a person. He was instrumental in my career as a fashion show producer, providing me with the venue for my first major fashion show in Wilmington, the old Northeast Social Club that he managed. Throughout my young years, he encouraged me and became a trusted advisor and friend, especially during my years at the News Journal. I last saw him in January. He attended the Wilmington City Council and Mayoral Inaugural I was blessed to produced for City Council President Hanifa Shabazz. As always, Larry had encouraging words and noted to me how great it was to see a young man from Riverside producing the city's major event. I said to him then that it was he who helped set me on the path to success. Larry will be deeply missed by me and all the many, many others to whom he was a blessing.
