It is with a sincere heart that I extend condolences to my Fellow Blue Hen Shanda and Family. I remember how "J Hall" would smile when he would spot you entering a room. One day I asked him at the Center for Black Culture, "When are you going to marry her?" His response, "When her Daddy says I can!" We laughed uncontrollably. I had faith he would convince the Honorable Dennis P. Williams and First Lady Shayne that he was deserving of you.

I only Met Jonathan one time, when his Son and my Friend Donnie, just Finished his new home and had an outdoor picnic, I sat next to Across from Jonathan on the picnic bench and his young son was about 3 0r 4 years old. His was a very healthy level headed fellow and I Kidded with him if he could fix a speeding ticket.
I am sad that this young man left us too soon, My Heart goes out to his entire family.

I met Joe while I was in grad school at UD and he was still in undergrad. Praying for you and your family in this time of loss and grief. You were a man's man and the epitome of a Alpha phi Alpha man. God is a good God though!

The University of Delaware Black Alumni Organization would like to extend our condolences to the family of Jonathan Hall. Joe was a huge part of our tight-knit community and always supported our events. And it wasn't just about him participating in alumni events, but he also remained engaged with the undergraduate students, in particular through his fraternity. We can all learn from his example of commitment to family, friends and community. His passing is a major loss to our Blue Hen family and we are all better for having come in contact with Jonathan. Prayers to everyone he held dear in his heart.

Joe and I became friends at UD. We spent many nights hanging out in his Town Court apartment comparing frat stories. Joe was a good dude and always fun to be around. He will be sorely missed.
