Obituary of Deacon Alvin L. Harris

Deacon Alvin L. Harris was born on June 9, 1956 to the late James E. and Dorothy Benson-Harris. He departed this life on October 24, 2016 at Churchman's Village in Newark, DE. Deacon Harris is preceded in death by his parents James and Dorothy Harris; five brothers-Sony Caulk, Donald Sparks, Lawrence Sparks (PeeWee), Ronald Sparks (Ronnie) George Hunter, Jr (June bug); and three sisters-Carol Sparks, Karen Deshields and Reverend Charlotte Anne Wisher, mother-in-law Alberta E. Lockett, father-in-law Ret. Major Wilbert Davis, Sr. Deacon Alvin leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife Stephanie Davis-Harris; his children Minister Christopher T. Harris (Kieyana), Pastor Aaron L. Harris (Marguerite), and Steven Harris; his grandchildren Jyheir Harris, Alberta Harris, Janaye’ Harris, Aaron Harris II, Aaron Harris, and Javion Harris. Three sisters Cheryl Herring, Debbie Thompson, Michelle Price; and three brothers Theodore Benson, Howard Harris and James Harris along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends. Deacon Alvin Harris will always remain in the hearts and minds of his family.
