Obituary of Matthew J. Grabowski

Matthew Joseph Grabowski, age 44, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 23, 2016. Matt was loved by many. He traveled the Country like a gypsy, led by his love of music, appreciation of art in all of its forms and found friendship everywhere he ventured. He loved spending time with his pet dogs, fishing, photography, drawing, writing, and spending time with friends. Matthew, though he struggled with the personal demons of his disease, was inquisitive, open-minded, caring and had an unmatchable creativity. He opened many hearts to a variety of music, befriended professional musicians and even contributed artwork to professional CDs. Matt was preceded in death by his daughter Erika Life Grabowski, his father Zbigniew R. (Ray) Grabowski and grandparents Roman and Czeslawa Grabowski, and Joseph and Catherine Ogonowski. Matt is survived by his mother Carolyn of Alaska and Delaware, his brother Christopher of Alaska, and his brother Jason and sister-in-law Dawn of Delaware. The family requests that you honor Matt’s life by forgiving someone, even in the most trying times. We will miss Matthew and his smile for the rest of our lives. Matt, we “love you more than words can tell”. May the angels lead you into Paradise.
