Obituary of John D. Williams

John was born in Pittsburg, PA, on April 21, 1931 and passed this life on May 7, 2016. He served in the US Air Force from 1950 to 1954. He attended Kings College and the Univ. of Delaware. He worked and retired from the DuPont Experimental Station. He was the first black African-American lab technician at this site. He also worked for the New Castle County Parks and Recreation and Hanby Middle School. He loved to travel extensively and had a great love for animals. John was predeceased by his parents Lolita and Joseph Williams. John leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Juli A. Williams and David C. Williams; sister, Patricia Langford; niece, Karen (Lewis) Carty and nephew, Kyle Carty and other relative and friends.
