My family and I are so very sorry to hear of the loss of our beloved neighbor Mr. Watson. We extend our deepest sympathy to each of you during this very difficult time of bereavement. My family has resided next door to Mr. Watson for more than 45 years. I have only fond memories of a man who was always kind, considerate and friendly. Over the years growing up next door to Mr. Watson, I have known him to be a positive black male role model. He not only was a BMW (Black Man Working), he was also a creative entrepreneur, who for some time had a delightful business called the African Hut. We enjoyed some of the best hot dogs and water ice from his mobile enterprise. As a young boy growing up next to Mr. Watson I have always viewed him with respect as a family man who loved his children. Above all, I remember the friendliness of a kind, Christian man who could be heard singing gospel spirituals out in his driveway early on Sunday mornings. Indeed Mr. Watson will be greatly missed. Know that you are all in our prayers.
Sorrowfully,
Adolphus Fletcher Family

He Knows, He's Been There
by Deloris Barr
If you think that no one understands
The trials you're going through
The awful pain, the heavy burdens
That seem far too much to endure
Just remember, He knows our puny frame
He's aware, He knows your name
He understands, is very much aware
Yes, He knows, He's been there
He laid aside His mighty power
That's not all, His Glory, too
Even humbled Himself further
He actually died, for me and you
Don't you see, He knows of suffering
He's felt the pain, that you feel within
He understands, He is aware
He knows all about it,
'Cause He's been there
He's been there, yes, He's been there
Jesus knows your situation
Yes He knows, yes, He's been there

In the Name of Allaah, TheMost Beneficient The Most Merciful
TO THE WATSON FAMILY:
I am so very sorry for the loss of your beloved family member. Mr. Wesley was a kind, caring and respectful man. I met him thru Najah and Bilal and he helped through a very tough time. He would make me laugh when all I wanted to do was cry. It seems like I just saw him at the 12/12 Club after he took his morning walk. He will truly be missed.
May you all be patient with a beautiful patience and have a perfect peaceful bereavement.
Surely every soul shall taste death TO HIM WE ALL BELONG AND TO HIM IS OUR RETURN
May Allaah bless and guide you all
Love and Respect
Sakinah

I thought I had more time...
I watched and I just knew this couldn't be it for you, I knew that some how some way you were going to pull through. I knew that this just wasn't the end for us, not like this.
I knew that we didn't have that much time...
I saw you New Years Ever and it hurt to see the man I knew to be so strong and independent in such a fragile state. It was like you were here but in so many ways already gone.
I was wrong and the day you left us I learned a very valuable lesson.
We will always have time...
I now know that the precense of you will still FOREVER be with me, there is just no way that ALL those years of laughter and lessons will ever fade! From days of constant motivation and instilling the love of God in me, I know that "I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me!" I know that the measure of the woman I am is "determined by my hustle and not my struggle!" Daily I rely on the "Power of Positive Thinking". Not to mention an excellent work ethic but unfortunately you know I never quite figured how to "curve that tongue" but as the days go on in I'm getting better at it! The lessons and wisdom you have left me with I will continue to cherish and share with whoever is in need just as I know you would have. God couldn't have blessed me with a better father-figure. You were truly the best there IS.
God makes know mistakes and I celebrate your life happily knowing that WE WILL ALWAYS HAVE TIME.
I LOVE YOU POP-POP
Enjoy the "PEACE"
Love, Shanelle
