Obituary of Dorothy Mae Willis

Dorothy Mae Willis transitioned peacefully to her Savior on July 25, 2015. The daughter of the late Charles Horsey and Ethel Mae Davis, Dorothy was born in Crisfield, Maryland. She attended the local public schools in Crisfield until moving to Chester to finish her education in the Chester School District. Dorothy held many positions in her lifetime – the most important of which was being a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family dearly, and she was deeply loved by them all. She breathed the importance and unbreakable power of family into all of her offspring. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers (Albert Johnson, Ronald Johnson, and George Roberts). Dorothy leaves to cherish her beautiful memory seven children: Darlene Ballard (Lawrence), Walter Willis (Patricia), Lloyd Perry (Evelyn), Arlethia Perry-Johnson (Steven), Juanita Willis, Ethel Willis, Bernadette Mills (David); 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers (Spencer Johnson and Richard Johnson); two sisters (Wanda Hudson and Collette Roberts Kennard); and a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
