Obituary of Shirley Ann Allen

On November 10, 2011, Shirley Ann Allen, age 76, died peacefully at home after having been lovingly cared for by he daughter, Donna. Born May 9, 1935 in Beaver Falls, PA, she was the daughter of the late Helen and Henry Haskins, Sr. She was a 1953 graduate of Beaver Falls High School and attended Garfield Business Institute earning a degree in Business Administration. Shirley was employed by the State of PA Health and Social Services Depts. in Beaver and Lawrence Counties, until her retirement in 1995 and was a teacher with Head Start in Beaver Falls. Her favorite pastimes included baking, crocheting being an avid seamstress and bowling. A member of Second Baptist Church in Beaver Falls, she served on the Missionary Board and the Senior Choir and was also a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Frederick Allen, 3 brothers, Robert, Eugene and Donald Haskins and 3 sisters, Mabel Haskins, Laura Howard and Janet Hurling. Shirley leaves to mourn her loss one daughter, Donna Cleckley, one brother, Henry, Jr.; 2 sisters, Sarah (Renee) and Linda and i aunt Sarah White and a great host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
