Aunt Helen, You will surely be missed here...we love you here but God Loves you more. I cried just thinking about you the other day on my way to work because at some of the most unstable times in my life, you were that stable constant force. You loved genuinely and would take anyone in making sure you fed them and gave them a lecture in your own way. You just said to me, "Now make sure you call me" and I smiled and said I would, not knowing the next time I would be holding your hand while you lay in your hospital bed. You are loved and you&rsquo;re truly missed...Eastside will never be the same! Love your niece, Shamecca & Family

Auntie, your departure has truly left a big void in all of us. You were truly an amazingly strong woman that loved hard. You were the glue that kept our families together. No one else could make us luagh the way you did. I already miss seeing you sitting in your usual spot as I head to mom & dad's. Who's going to keep the family informed now of what's going on. There is definitely not another You. I love you, I miss you but, oh what an angel heaven has received. Rest on sweetie until we meet again.

To the Gordon Family, I wanted to express my deepest sympathy on the passing of Ms. Helen. Many years have passed but the time and years spent with you all I have never forgotten. One of my fond memories of Ms. Helen is, she could put her foot in some cabbage along with rice is still to this day one of my favorite meals. There are no words that I can say right now to help ease the pain, except to say call on and trust in God he will hear and see you through this time of grief. Psalm 34:18 says that the Lord "is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." May God bless and comfort you and your family.

MY CONDOLENCES GO OUT TO THE GORDON FAMILY, WORDS CAN'T EXPRESS THE WAY I FEEL FOR YOU GUYS. I EXPERIENCED A DEEP LOSS(MY BELOVED GRANDMOTHER) IN JUNE OF 2004 AND THINGS HAVEN'T BEEN THE SAME, THE ONLY THING I CAN SAY IS THAT I'VE LEARNED THE ONLY THING THAT IS PROMISED TO US IS DEATH. INSHAALLAH SISTER GORDON IS IN HEAVEN WITH EVERYONE ELSE WHO HAS PRECEDED HER IN DEATH. I LOVE YALL ALL AND MAY GOD CONTINUE TO GUIDE US ALL ON THE STRAIGHT PAT!!!! LOVE THE MCCRAY FAMILY

little miracle jones daycare, thanks ms helen for pointing out the property owners. we may not be in exsistance, if not for her. we will miss seeing her watching over things outside from her wheelchair. reminding me of my mother on many levels, blessing and peace to the family.
