The birth date listed at the top of this page is incorrect. My brother, Joe Ruffin, Jr., was born on June 23, 1953 and not 1923. It is stated correctly in the obituary information. Our father, Joe Ruffin, Sr. was born on April 25, 1925. So, ironically, the 1923 date would make the son older than the father. The House of Wright handled both services and did an outstanding job! To The Family,
Please accept my condolence.
Hopefully you are able to draw comfort from the scriptures during your difficult time. For example, God's word, the Bible, refers to death as an enemy that will soon be brought to nothing, according to 1 Corinthians 15 26.
The Bible also gives us hope! It mentions a time when all of mankind will have the privilege of reuniting with our loved ones who have fallen asleep in death. Jesus Christ's words at John 5 28, 29 assures us that this exciting time will definitely take place.
Is it not encouraging to know that our loving Creator, Jehovah, not only has the power but desires to bring about such promises? This is in harmony with Job 14 14, 15.
Again, please accept my condolence.

To the family of Joe Ruffin Jr.
The knotts family would like to send our deepest condolence to you at this time. We used to live above Joe & Carol on Market ST. I know that your hearts are heavy but continue to trust in god and he will be there to help you through this time. The Bible says weeping may endure for a night but Joy comes in the morning. Family stay strong and lean on one another for comfort and support. Joe is now resting and at peace. He has received his Wings and is waking around Heaven rejoicing. God Bless you all.

Joe, A Father, Friend, and Brother Like No Other"
Jesus is the one who sticks closer than a brother. But when God created Joe, He made a brother like no other.
"J" is Joyful, Jovial, Jubilant, because his laughter filled the room, and his voice was so robust that it seemed to make a big boom.
"O" is for Outstanding, Original, and Ornery, because his bubbly personality just seemed to shine Joe was truly one of a kind.
"E" is for Extraordinary, Everlasting, and Eternal, because he was an extraordinary individual, who was able to persevere, and he had endured through so much to tell of his personal life's story
But Thanks be to God who has given him the victory, and Jesus has prepared a place for him according to His riches in glory!
Joe, who was a father, friend, and brother like no other
Now has gone to meet Jesus, who sticks closer than a brother. And now his pain and troubles are all over!
By your sister, Debra
