Obituary of Dorothy E. Williams

Dorothy Williams, 86, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2010 at home with family. Dorothy, loving known as Dot to close friends and family was born February 11, 1924 in Wilmington, DE and raised in NewCAstle. She was the daughter of the late James and Katie Emery. She attended Howard hight school and later worked as domestic worker. She was also a member of Cootiette Club of the United States. She was a devoted wife of the late Charles Williams, Sr. to whom she married in 1942. She was a dedicated mother to her children and grandchildren who she loved joking and talking with. A loyal and dutiful member of St. Paul UAME for over 60 years, she was a member of the usher board and she did other service in the church as well. She was an avid traveler and loved to entertain. She is survived by 3 sons; Charles (Denise), Kenneth (Alva), and Reginald (Barbara); one brother, Morris Emery; 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 5 great, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
