I am so sorry to hear of your loss, I hope that the following scriptures may offer you a measure of comfort and hope for the future. The Bible calls death an enemy. It likens death to a king who rules mankind. (Romans 5:17; 1 Corinthians 15:26). Thankfully, GodâÂ(TM)s Word assures us, that this king will not rule forever! At Isaiah 25:8, the prophet foretold: âÂoeHe [Jehovah God] will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces.â Not only will Jehovah God put an end to death, but He has also promised that our dear loved ones who lie asleep in death will be awakened back to life here on earth! This promise is recorded at Acts 24:15: âÂoeThere is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.â So even âÂoethe unrighteous,â many individuals who did not know and serve the Creator, will get a future opportunity to gain GodâÂ(TM)s favor and live. What a wonderful God, Jehovah is! At John 5:28, 29, Jesus reveals more about this grand event, stating: âÂoeDo not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.â Indeed, our loved ones who have fallen asleep in death will come back to life. Until then, may the scriptures and the hope for the future serve to comfort and strengthen you.
