I remember first meeting cousin Billy a couple years back when I drove cousin Frances and Addie Cole, Aunt Marian and my mother Mary Stevens to their home. We took pictures, looked at old pictures, talked about old times and had a great time. It was great getting to know this side of my mother's family. They truly welcomed us into their home. My heart was saddened when I heard my voice message from Addie Cole about his passing. My prayers gous out to the family. Love you all!

Tina and Te'Ja,
Our prayers are with you and your family. As you go through this bereavement process it gets a little easier and your memories of him will bring you comfort. When my dad passed a cousin read this poem to me and it lifted me. I hope it can do the same for you all.
God looked around his garden
And He found an empty place.
And then He looked down upon the earth, and saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you,and lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain, he knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb,
so He closed your weary eyelids,
and whispered "Peace be thine."
It broke our hearts to lose you. But you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
We love you both very much and if we can do anything...We are just a call away!

To cousin Sylvia, Joyce, Connie, Billy, Tina and the family, I share with you on dad's behalf his favorite scripture
Psalms 91:1-4
He who dwell in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." Surely, he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
If he could I believe he would say: Thank you Bill Patton for your friendship, love & support. You will always be loved and not forgotten. Pray for me as I pray for you.
Love
Uncle Bunny

Dear Sylvia and family. He sleeps so restful,so at peace, so filled with the assurance of awakening. Not to earths contests again, but to etermity's environments and associations and glory.Planted in death to spring up in life. To live, not in time, but eternity ---in eternal victories. No more sickness,no more pain,no more sorrow, but rise to glory and to enter upon our new life in a heavenly land with God and Christ and the sanctified.
