He Knows, He's Been There
by Deloris Barr
If you think that no one understands
The trials you're going through
The awful pain, the heavy burdens
That seem far too much to endure
Just remember, He knows our puny frame
He's aware, He knows your name
He understands, is very much aware
Yes, He knows, He's been there
\He laid aside His mighty power
That's not all, His Glory, too
Even humbled Himself further
He actually died, for me and you
Don't you see, He knows of suffering
He's felt the pain, that you feel within
He understands, He is aware
He knows all about it,
'Cause He's been there
He's been there, yes, He's been there
Jesus knows your situation
Yes He knows, yes, He's been there

To Cheryl and the family of Ms Vonnie: Our hearts were so heavy when we found out about the passing of Ms Vonnie. Cheryl I am so sorry I wasn't able to attend. You know we were raised together on 27th Street we were all like family. Ms Vonnie and my mom(Billie)were like sisters. They lived across the street from each other for years, they graduated from high school together (class of 1953), they went to the same church, they sang in the same singing group in church and so many other things they did together. They both went home to be with the Lord. They are in heaven singing and singing the gospel what they like to do. Both in their singing group outfit. Cheryl it's going to be rough but, God will strengthen you. We loved Ms Vonnie so much and will miss her dearly. We love you too Cheryl. You are in our prayers. May God bless you and your family each and everyday to come. Love,Ardella,Ernie,Frankie,Bernette and Danessa

There is so much I can say about Sister Burgess. But the most important is that she truly loved the Lord. As the pianist at New Calvary Baptist Church she always had a smile and made even ones whose voices did not sound like angels feel comfortable. She would say "As long as God is pleased". And with the way she carried herself I am sure that God was much pleased. To the Family, know that she is present with her Saviour and that she touched so many people with her grace and beauty.

The days of our lives are seventy years...yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away Psalm 90:10.
Our vigor is fleeting, our best years are brief, our youth passes quickly-time is ever a thief; But hope yet becomes us-death's sting holds no power; We have a redeemer-an unfailing tower.
Your mother is resting in the arms of our heavenly father. Remember EARTH is the land of trials. Heaven is the land of JOYS. May the peace of God be with you now and always.
