Obituary of Sudonia B. Holland

Sudonia Butler Holland was born May 1, 1922 to Robie & Victoria Butler in Coleman, MD. She departed this life on May 4, 2010 after a short illness. Sudonia was a member of Ezion Mt.Carmel UM Church for over 50 years and a member of Delaware State Eastern Stars. Sudonia was preceded in death by her parents, son, Ronald Brinkley; sisters, Elizabeth Harris Jervey, Jane Butler and brother Robie Butler, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory, a large loving family and continuation of her legacy of Christian Love, 4 sisters, Hilda Hopkins, Doris Woodus (Nathaniel), Elaine Roberts and Ann Butler; 3 brothers, William Donald, Charles Delmus and John Edwards; 2 faithful, caring and loving friends for 50 years, Dave and Ruth Robinson; 2 step-daughters, Christine and Alomah; grandsons, Ronald and Roosevelt; 1 granddaughter, Sudonia; many great grandchildren and 1 godson, Khadre Wright. Services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 10, 2010 at Ezion Mt. Carmel UM Church, 800 N. Walnut St., Wilmington, DE. Viewing 9:00 AM-10:30 AM. OES Ritual at 10:30 AM and Ushers Ritual at 10:45 AM. Interment at Union Church Cemetery in Coleman, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations are to be made in the name of Sudonia Holland to the Alzheimer's Association.
