Charlie will be remembered as a beautiful person, with a gentle spirit. I first met her in my travels to and from Easter Seals in Edgemoor, but we soon developed a relationship built on mutual respect. She always had a warm welcome, and a ready smile whenever I visited.
Charlie was a lover of people, but she especially loved all of the people with disabilities that she served for so many years. They in turn recognized this, and gave her that same love back.
God blessed her with the gift of compassion and caring, and so those traits were easily recognizable whenever you saw her.
She will surely be missed, but I am thankful for the time that I was able to share with her. May memories of happy times sustain you during this period of sadness.
Sincerely,
Maureta Collins

Ms. Jenkins will be greatly missed. Having been blessed with the opportunity to work with her, the beauty of her person is what I will not only remember but cherish. There are some who honor God by ensuring that their lampost serves to light a path for others. Charlie did just that and more. Please accept my prayers for strength and comfort during this time of sorrow. Her love of family was something all who knew her would attest to, as she would often talk about you. God Bless....

To The Family,
Please accept my condolence. I hope that you are able to draw comfort from the scriptures during this difficult time. Let me tell you my favorite text. Job said: “If an able-bodied man dies can he live again ?”. You will call, and I myself shall answer you. For the work of your hands you will have a yearning.” (Job 14:14, 15).
