To the Wallace family,
I am sorry to hear about your dad, he was such a wonderful man. Your parents were such wonderful people from the days of living in Riverside, and watching the softball games at Kingswood, I will never forget those precious memories sitting in the stands with the both of them. Please remember the memories that you all shared with your mom and dad, they both are now together smiling and looking down at us all. May God comfort all of you at this time. Love you all

To all my Wallace Klan,
Mr John and Mom Ruth raised us all. The ones after us will never know what love these two "PARENTS" shared with every young person that came into their presence. Memories; The old "WHA" building, "Kingswood" (when it was only one building) and oh my gosh the "Jimmy Jenkins Center", but most of all the little league, mens baseball and girls softball games. Mr John made sure whether you played or not that Riverside and Eastside met there as a family and then Mom Ruth made sure no one went home hungry.
So appropriate for your Dad to be funeralized at Ebenzer Baptist Church, remember when it was just a field? We had to keep that clean too. lol
I am ever so grateful that you all always shared you Dad and Mom with me.
At the end of the day, "Mom Ruth" always got her man. I ain't mad at her!
Love you all, Terry

To the family of Mr. John Wallace Sr. I met Mr. Wallace when I worked at Happy Harry's (pharmacy)on Market St. He would fuss at me when I didnt work and he came in (LOL)cause he didnt want anyone else to wait on him. I didnt know Mrs. Wallace passed away, he would always talk about her when he came to the pharmacy. He made me feel like I was a part of his extended family. Just knowing he is no longer suffering and is resting peacefully in the arms of the Lord with Mrs. Ruth again shall always bring peace to your heart!!

To the Wallace Family. I am so sorry that I cannot attend John's funeral. My heart is heavy this day and I just want to say that John is now in a better place. He was sad after Ms. Ruthie died. But I believe they are in heaven along with his daughter in law together. I used to go to the bowling alley on Governor Printz to hang out with my friends. John used to bowl with them. Everytime I came to the bowling alley, John always would say something to make me laugh. By the time I left there my cheeks were hurting from laughing at him so hard. I am so glad that John isn't suffering anymore. I would get updates of what was going on with him from my friend clare. I hope that each and everyone of you know that your father is in heaven with your mother and he is probally happier now than he ever was when his wife passed. God bless and may God make your burdens lighter.

To the Wallace Family, I am sending my heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your loved one. We all know that we must go but just not when we will go. God has taken our loved ones home so they are no longer suffering. Just know that he is in a far better place than we can ever imagine. He has taken his plight through those pearly gates of heaven to sing and shout and be with his wife again. Family stay strong in your faith and know that you will see him again.
