I worked with Alphonsa in the late 80's in L&D, when she first started there. Although it's been many years since I've seen her, I remember her friendliness, kindness to me, and the great nursing care and attention she gave to her patients. May happy memories help you through these sorrowful times. God bless.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. May you find comfort in knowing that Fonz is home and will watch over you till you meet again. I have worked with her in L&D for the past 17 years. She was my teacher and a mentor and I hope someone I could call friend.

To those mourning the loss of Alphonsa Wilson: although I did not know Ms. Wilson personally, it is evident by the comments that she has touched the lives of many. Please accept my deepest condolences in your time of sorrow. I just wanted to share some thoughts that have been a comfort for me and my family during times such as these: At John 11:25, Jesus told Martha, "I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." Shortly after speaking those words, Jesus resurrected Lazarus back to life right here on earth. Very soon, by means of God's Kingdom, for which we pray (Matthew 6:10) God will permanently remove death, resurrect our loved ones, and restore our bodies and this earth back to their originally-designed perfect condition. Until that time, may you be comforted and sustained by the warm memories of your dear loved one. Sorrowfully submitted, Ms. Williams

To Alphonsa's family: I recently read in the newspaper about your lost. It has been many years since I have had contact with Alphonsa. However, I always will remember her smile. So bright and happy. May you find comfort in the many words from her friends and colleagues. With warm thoughts,
Sharon M. Mills-Wisneski (former of Millington, Md).

I was deeply saddened by the news and wish your family well. I met Fonz in L&D and thought she "was a tough nut" she was all business at work. I was a "newbe" to L&D and I saw something in her that I wanted to get to know, I knew she was special and I wanted to learn from her..it took time but after getting through that exterior I learned that she had a sense of humor that was fab! I learned so much from her and will miss her. May she rest in peace.

I worked with "Fonz" back in the early '80s on 5 South at Delaware Division. She was an intelligent and kind nurse. I also remember she had a really hot car and I used to beg her to sell it to me! RIP Fonz and may God's Grace be upon your family.
