Mary, words could not express how you may be feeling about your son, but his memories will be with you forever. Always remember the good times, his smiles, his laugh, his sense of humor. I will always admire you talking about your sons with each one loving you in their own way. I will always remember your words of expression when you talked about Demetrius. May his soul rest in peace and his spirit live on.

To those mourning the loss of Demetrius Harvin: although I did not know Mr. Harvin personally, it is evident by the expressions posted that he has touched the lives of many. Please accept my deepest condolences in your time of sorrow. Here are some thoughts from the Holy Scriptures that have been a comfort for me and my family during times such as these: At John 11:25, Jesus told Martha, "I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." Shortly after speaking those words, Jesus resurrected Lazarus back to life right here on earth. Very soon, by means of God's Kingdom, for which we pray (Matthew 6:10), Jehovah God along with His Son Jesus Christ will permanently remove death, resurrect our loved ones, and restore our bodies and this earth back to their originally-designed perfect condition. Until that time, may you be comforted and sustained by the warm memories of your dear loved one. Most warmly, Tori

I am very sorry for your lost. The Chase Building will never be the same. I went lots of times for lunch or breakfast. and we would talk about South Carloina. My family and his family was from Hemmingway SC. He was a nice guy, I would give him a hard time he would just shake his head and fix my food and when i would leave he would just smile. I pray for his family my love and heart goes out to you. May you find peace in the Lord Jesus Christ he is the answer and comfort to every situation. God Bless.

I am truly saddened by the news of Demetrius' passing away. It came as a total shock when I heard the news this morning and I've been thinking about it since. To "D"'s family, in your time of sadness, loss and confusion, please look to the Lord for strength, comfort and love. He will supply all of your need according to His riches in glory. D was a great man and I really enjoyed talking to him almost every day over the past 5 years. May he rest in peace and his soul abide in glory.

To whom it may concern:
I went to the Urban CafĂƒÂ© today and asked where my friend "D" was. I was shocked when I heard the news. I wanted to extend my condolences to his family and just share how special I found Demetrius to be and how he brought a smile to my face each day that I went to get a stir fry made by him. Obviously I only knew Demetrius by talking with him while he made my lunch but he was always so very nice to me and I always enjoyed our chats. I just wanted you to know how special I found him to be.
I am sorry for your loss.

Words can not express the shock we all felt when we learned of Demetrius' passing. He never talked other than greetings due to being a very private person; you still could not help to be drawn to him anyway.
I will miss him at his work station in the Urban Cafe.(What a great cook!
My prayers are for all his loved ones and friends that are left behind.
May you find comfort in knowing that people care.

I saw Demetrius nearly every day for 8 years- As the news spread last week you should know that there was much expression of sorrow and sadness- "D" will be missed by many. Quiet and private about his life, he still had many people who looked forward to seeing him each day. He was good at his job, dedicated, and always had a smile and a wave for his customers! Blessings to you, his family. I am very sorry for your loss. Christine

To the Parents & Family of Demetrius I am deeply sorry to hear of the passing of Demetrius. I am really in shock.I just last saw him on his job cooking and i asked him how was his daughter and grandchild. He said they are doing fine and the baby is 19 months and that's when i recall last seeing him. He was truly a nice young man, very quiet and at the end of the day he would always knock on the window or wave passing the door of my job and tell us bye. He will be missed. Remember the word of the Lord. Psalms 30:5 "WEEPING MAY ENDURE FOR A NIGHT,BUT JOY COMETH IN THE MORNING" May God comfort and strength your hearts at this time of sorrow.
