Obituary of Mary A. Wilmore

Mary Anner Wilmore, of Wilmington, DE, age 86, who was born December 12, 1922 in Virginia to the late Herman B. and Mabel G. Oliver, passed Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Christiana Hospital. She graduated from Nottaway Training School. She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church and later became a member of Coleman Memorial UM Church where she was affiliated with the United Methodiat Women. She was married to the late James E. Wilmore, Sr. and from that union came six children. She worked at Camp Pickett and Sunny Slopes Orchard in Virginia and then later as a domestic laborer for Harold Shaffer and family for 47 years. Mary was preceded in death by mother, Mabel G. Oliver; father, Herman B. Oliver; sister, Alton Harris; brother, Charles Oliver; husband, James E. Wilmore, Sr.; and daughter, Veronica R. Wilmore. She is survived by children, Patricia A. Washington (Alvin A.) of Illinois; Carol Holtmeyer, Cassandra E. Regis, Mary F. Matthews (Tracy M.) of Delaware and James e. Wilmore, Jr. (Vicky) if Georgia; grandchildren, Akiko R. Washington of Illinois; Calvin J. Holtmeyer (Kawanda) of Idaho; Kelsey M., Michael J. and Kandance M.
