Obituary of Charles E Ridgeway

Charles E. Ridgeway also known as "Charley" was born August 8, 1924. He departed this life on Monday, September 21, 2009. He was educated in Townsend, DE and later began working on the chicken farm of the Robinson family. Charley then decided to serve his country and went into the Army where he served in the Philippines. After his discharge he returned to work on the Robinson Farm. In the early 60's the farm became the ownership of the Robinson's daughter Rebecca and her husband Robert Wesse, Sr. As their family was blessed with 5 sons (Robert, Jr., Arthur, Mark, Mitch and Clay). This became Charley's extended family and he was their God-father. Later in life Charley began residing with his devoted friend Ms. Sara Briscoe and after her passing, he lived with her granddaughter, Maria Limpkin, who along with her sister Kay, became his caregivers. Charley was preceded in death by his brother Fred E. Ridgeway, Jr. To always remember and cherish his memories are: his nephew Joseph E.
