Doris G. Bratcher (Dotty), age 70 shut her eyes and entered into eternity on July 31, 2009 at Heartland Hospice. Doris was a retired rmployee from the City of Wilmington and Brandywine School District (Harlan). Doris was a woman full of wisdom and strength. She never worried or stressed, she truly understood Ecclesiastes 3:1, to everything there is a season and purpose under the heaven. She has touched the lives of many. To know her was to love her. Doris is preceded in death by her husband, George Bratcher; 2 brothers, Lewing and James Graves and 2 godsons, Edward and Sylvester Demby. She leaves to cherish many fond memories, 2 daughters, Michelle Lockamy and Angela Handy; 4 grandchildren, Tiffany Cannon (Durron), Lamir Handy, Rakiya Lockamy and Aisha Handy; 3 sisters, Gloria Brown (Ralph), Mary Patterson (Charles), Alice Demby (Garnett); 2 brothers, Augustine Graves and William Warren; 3 sister-in-laws, Emily Orr, Marian Kennedy and Sylvia Wilmore; 2 brother-in-laws, Winfield Bratcher and Terrance Bratcher (Virginia); godson, Timothy Demby; god-daughter, Neena Commodore and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
