Obituary of Charles H. Seth

Age 79 of Wilmington, DE died Friday, September 5, 2003 with the blessing of the Lord at St. Francis Hospital. Charles was the proud graduate of Howard High School Class of 1942. He was employed by the General Tire Company as a road-side mechanic and later retired from the Christiana School District as a custodian. He served in the European Theatre and was honorable discharged. Charles was a community activist with the 13th Street Block Association. His most cherished invovlement's was the Howard High School Reunion Committee, where he served as treasure. He was a dedicated member of the Bethel AME Church, the IBOE and the VFW where he served as Commander (1974-1976) at Post #2765. Charles will best be remembered as a proud father, an avid photographer, good cook and a loyal friend who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Charles is the brother of the late Isabel Seth and Charlotte"Mafisa" Grady. His loving memory will be cherished by his children; Jean Stephens-Cox of NY, Charles Seth Anderson of FL, Anthony Jerome Seth of Wilmington, Marcelline Hall of MA, sister Haleeman Yakis and brother, Richard Seth both of NJ; 5 grandchildren, 4 nieces, 2 nephews and a host of devoted relatives and friends.
