I wanted to send my condolences to the family of Dez AKA 524. He was the most beautiful, happies preson I have ever known. He was a one of my best friends. I just learned yesterday that he passed when I seen his obituary in the paper. I couldn't belive what I was reading and I still find it hard to belive. Me and Dez are close friends we have been for years hanging out together in the karoke spots. Slips, ChiChi's ect. He realy knew how to party and he knew what to say when something was wrong. I haven't seen Dez in about a month we grow apart since I got married. But I love Him and Will miss him today and everyday for the rest of my life. He truely was to good for earth. And the only place that is good enough for our dear friend is heaven. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU 524!!!! Kisses and Hugs,
KIM

I am so truly sorry and saddened to hear that Dez had passed on.He was a wonderful friend whom I admired and loved dearly. He was good to everyone and respected for his good nature and kind heart. His gift for singing brought happiness to everyone. He had many friends from karaoke who will always remember him fondly and miss him so,so much.My love and my prayers go out to you Dez. May Jesus hold you in his arms and keep you safe and at peace. You were always an Angel on earth, I know you are a special Angel in heaven. I love you Dez.

I will miss Dez's humor, smile and "stile". Karaoke won't be the same, now he doesn't have to wait in line to sing, it will always be your turn...
To the Family: Give the grief to the Lord and rejoice for Dez. He will hear your prayers and He will heal your hearts.

I was a co-worker with Dez at Value City in 1997. I really enjoy spending time talking with him. Dez, Bob and I would hang out together a lot. Dez was very outgoing and loving man. Those, are the qualities I will surely miss about Dez. I have only one regret is that I wish I could have spent more time with him.
My condolences to the friends and family of Dez L. smith. This is a very tragic lose. May God help the family members through this tragedy lose.
