The last text messages I received from you read, "I just wanted to know how u are doing, call me if you need me. Luv ya!!" My last call from you, you sang, "Missing You...you were my SISTAH!" over Gloria's house. Now I am singing it to you...WOW. The irony of life. And just like you would be, I am forever indebted to your mother and children. You will always be in my heart and thoughts. I thought of you all day today and decided to communicate with you in some form or fashion. I am deeply saddened by this and will be for quite some time.Someone that has never experienced the loss of a friend can not identify with me. But because GOD is a good GOD, I am assured to meet you again. In thinking of you, I remind myself that REAL Friends are like STARR's...you may not always see them, but you ALWAYS know that they are there...I will mourn you til I join you...LOVE U ALWAYS MUDDUCK:-) XOXOXO

Starr,
I have been in a state of shock since I heard the news. Just two weeks ago we were sitting in the nail salon planning Jordan's wedding. No matter how many weeks or months would go by without us seeing each other, we would pick right up where we left off. I am truly at a loss for words, even at this very moment I am shedding mad tears. I am going to miss your beautiful smile - Thank God for the 17 years worth of memories that I have to hold on to. I will connect with your mom and look out for the kids.
Missing You Much,
Stacey-Michelle

Aunt "Starr,"
I am truly going to miss you. What I will miss the most is your beautiful smile when you would say "Hey Nephew!" To know that I will only hear you say those words in my dreams now, saddens me!!" My wedding won't be the same without you there. I keep asking myself how could someone do something like this to such a beautiful person? I don't think I even want to know. Sleep sweet beautiful and I will keep your mother and your children covered with prayer. Kenny - if you, Darnell, and Destin ever need anything-or someone to talk to, I am here for you.I will make sure my mom gives my telephone number to Aunt Stacey.
Love Always,
"Nephew"

To Ms Louise Jefferson: I didn't know your precious daughter personally, but she was found close to where I live. I know the pain of losing a love thur violence & like you I have an unsolved murder of a loved one in 2004. Words at this time are of little comfort, but time will help, but until then, please remain strong for the family Salima left behind, yourself, and remember God is ALWAYS there for you

To the Jefferson family:
We don't always know why things happen the way they do; but rest assure, we will all understand it better by and by.
To Stacy: As you look towards the sky, you may never find another Starr that Shines so bright. You must be strong and keep on keeping on; and Know that GOD never puts more on us then we can bear. Weeping may endure for a night, but JOY comes in the morning.
May the GOD I trust continue to rest, rule, and abide in each of you.

To the Family of "Star" Jefferson
My heart go out to each of you although I didn't get to meet each of you in a personal way as a neighbor I can see and feel the closeness you all had. Star would always see her little boy off to school each morning and wave with a smile. Hopefully he can always remember and feel her smile as he continue his years of education. I pray each of you hold on to her memories as she will always remain in your hearts.
Stacy..
A dear friend you were to her my heart definately goes out to you as you know I am a dear friend of your cousin "Robin" and I can't even imgine loosing her to something so senseless keep your head up and know that you were a great friend and on those lonely nights when you feel alone hold on to the times you both shared as friends.

It's a shame that a young mother had to leave this earth in such a tragic way. I did not know you as a person but your story has touch my life and I hope now you can find the peace that you could not find here on earth. My prayers goes out to your three boys and I hope they will take what you tried to teach them to heart and how much love you had for them to better their lives in everyway. By becoming 3 strong black men who will make something of their lives and find the strenght amd courage to make you proud of them. Even in death something good can become of this...Family and Friends her death was not in vain nor was her life there are 3 stars that still can shine they will need the help from all of us..Maybe we will learn from this and become a better people so we all can live a better life. Peace be with you..
