Obituary of Mary Lolley Raikes

Age 77 of Wilmington, DE departed this life on Thursday, February 26, 2004 at Tilton Terace. Mary Lolley raikes daughter of the late Raymond B. Lolley, Sr. and Gracie v. Lolley was born on June 9, 1926. Mary was educated in the public schools of Wilmington and Howard High School. She was employed in food service in the school system, DuPont and the St. Anthony Senior Center. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Raikes; parents, raymond and Gracie Lolley; 4 brothers, Nathaniel, Raymond Jr., Cornelius and Lester Lolley, Jr.; and 3 sisters, Myrtle Rasin, Helen Lolley and Adelaide Hollis. She leaves to cherish her memories, 9 children, Mary Frances Collier, Elwood Spence, Nathaniel Lolley, Sr., Adelaide Carroll, Hugh Lolley, Jr., Jennifer Roberts, Alonzo Spencer, Arthur Spencer and Wesley Spencer; 3 sisters, Alice Williamson, Jeanette Cooper and Delores Lolley; and 1 brother, Vereen Lolley; 2 sisters-in-law, Dorothy Lolley and Gladys Lolley; 4 daughters-in-law, Gennell and Sherry Lolley, Latasha and Elizabeth Spencer; 1 son-in-law, Thomas Roberts; 24 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; friends; and a longtime friend, Warner Waters.
