To Ms Linda and your mother-An excellent job raising your son and grandson to be an individual who respected his elders; he was very friendly, kept me laughing all the time and had alot of patience at work. i know some days he felt like retaliating because some of the things that were said to him. but he brushed it off, and kept right on working. i had the pleasure of working with him for 5 years. I know he's in a better place, and I will miss him dearly. Continue to put God first, and remember Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.

I donâÂ(TM)t quite know how to put in words, how I feel about this. ItâÂ(TM)s hard to even come to a realization that I am writing about Damek in this sense. We all know that death is a part of life, but weâÂ(TM)re never quite ready for it when it comes, especially, when itâÂ(TM)s so sudden. My condolences go out to all of the family, especially Ms. Linda and Shawn. I loved Damek like he was my brother. My brother (James), and him had a connection that made them more than friends, so therefore, I considered Damek family.
I enjoyed many good times with the two of them. I remember when they first started rolling up to Philly on the train. They use to tell me stories of the many different places they found to shop for music, clothes, and even some good food spots. Being âÂoelittle sis,â I thought they were so cool because they shopped in Philly. Then one day I was invited to go and I was ever so excited. After that, I was invited often to go places and I enjoyed every time I went with him and James. Any event which consisted of the two of them was a guaranteed exciting day filled with laughter and lots of jokes. I remember one time going to Concord Mall with Damek and James and we were on our way out to wait for the bus up by BoscovâÂ(TM)s, and they both locked all the doors to get out, except for the very last door and we watched everyone bump into all the doors down the entire row until they got to the last one. You probably had to be there, but it was hilarious. IâÂ(TM)ll also remember how Damek and James told me the jokes they use to play on there co-workers, like when they had a jewelry box and placed it on the floor and watched people walk up to it and open it and found the word âÂoeSIKEâ written on a piece of paper inside. It was always fun to be around him.
I know I speak for âÂoeThe Benson Familyâ when I say Damek was truly loved and will definitely be missed and never forgotten. IâÂ(TM)m sure he is up there joking around as we speak and although Damek and my brother James studied a lot of different things and had a tremendous amount of knowledge and understanding in life and death, he will definitely miss you and I know he loved you too. Rest in Peace Damek, till we meet againâ¦.like you and James would sayâ¦âÂÂThe World is Yours God, No PeasantsâÂÂ

To Jaye, Ms. Linda and family. I know that I already put in an entry for the memories of Damek, but these condolences are for you. Damek was the light of anyone's world that he came across. Damek always treated me like his sister, and he was always the little brother that I never had. Damek was an old soul, as well. He would come to work with all kinds of old school music! I used to tell him that he was a reincarnated guy from the 70s. He used to laugh when I told him that, but to know Damek was to love him. And that you couldn't help. I'm really going to miss "Sylki P" as he would call himself. He was one of a kind. My prayers are with you.

I've known Damek for 12 years. We were very close like sister and brother. I remember mornings when he used to bop into Happy Harry's on his way to school, buying batteries for his cd player. Then we worked together at First Union, Forman Mills, and Chase. If you were in the worst of worst moods, Damek would just say something, and all you could do was laugh. You could never forget his hairstyles of braids, his afro or his signature Mickey Mouse eared ponytails. His shirts and sneakers always matched to a tee. Meek stayed fresh! He was very talented when it came to making music. If you wanted a mix cd, Meek would hook you up everytime! Every year we would celebrate our birthdays. Mine is March 23, his was the 26th. We always had cards and gifts for each other at that time of year. I'm going to miss my friend. It's going to be hard not seeing him around anymore. God, please take care of my friend. He was a wonderful person on this earth, and I'm sure that he will be a true angel for you in heaven. Thank you for his friendship of 11 years with me. I love you, Meek. There will never be another like you.
