I just found out you passed away my friend. We had a great time in the pc lab helping all the new pc beginner users back in the early 90s. Playing games that we loaded on hopi. I am sorry I didn't keep in touch and now you are in a better place. My condolences to your family. I am sorry this so late. He is missed.

Mike was a dear co-worker and friend to me. I will miss him dearly. Mike and my niece travel the same road and we often shared their experieces. I always kept the right fuel in my office if the need should arise and Mike knew he could count on me. I loved him too.

A few years back, Michael went to a Pau Wau with me every weekend. I will always cherish sharing that special experience with him.
Oh Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the winds
And whose breath gives life to everyone,
Hear me.
I come to you as one of your many children;
I am weak
I am small
I need your wisdom and your strength.
Let me walk in beauty, and make my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunsets.
Make my hands respect the things you have made,
and make my ears sharp so I may hear your voice.
Make me wise, so that I may understand what you have taught my people and
The lessons you have hidden in each leaf
and each rock.
I ask for wisdom and strength,
Not to be superior to my brothers, but to be able
to fight my greatest enemy, myself.
Make me ever ready to come before you with
clean hands and a straight eye,
So as life fades away as a fading sunset,
My spirit may come to you without shame.

As a staff member in the office of the Dean of Student Services, I often had computer issues. I always requested Michael to come to the office because we had built such a good and friendly rapport. He loved to come to the office because he said we always made him laugh. I will miss his laughter and his presence. Much love to his family!
