I was so surprised to hear Brother Jack had passed. I was at work and I saw the announcement that day that he was here at the hospital. I was about to go and check upon him when the message came that he had passed. My deepest and sincere condolences to Mother Dorothy and the Family. I know he is now with the Saviour, so I rejoice with you all in his homegoing.
May god continue the bless and comfort each of you in His mighty way.
Sincerely,
Deacon Miller

To God be the glory for the things he has done! It is with profound love, prayers and condolences that I express to the Boyd family on the lost of Mr. Boyd. I will never forget the night at Bible Study that I first saw this beautiful couple. I will always remember the story that Mother Boyd shared with the congregation, that night, regarding how Mr. Boyd asked her father for her hand in marraige. It was such a beautiful love story. It has been a pleasure knowing your family for such a short period of time. My own mother has found such a good friend in Mother Boyd and please know that we, here at Canaan will continue to take care, pray, love and support her! I know that Heaven is rejoicing on having one of their own home at last. Remember the wonderful memories you have of Mr. Boyd! He was truly one of Canaan's Best! We will all miss him!
Love,

Dorothy,
It has been such a joy knowing Jack and we admire how devoted he was to our church. We really enjoyed the stories he shared in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. He left us with some good memories. I don't think anyone will ever be able to mix the Iced Tea the way he did for the Emma Bordley Hospitality Committee when we served as a ministry. My husband and I are just so elated knowing that his final resting place is with the Lord, knowing that this is what he lived for. Take care Jack Boyd. We'll see you when we get there.

Canaan's Sunday Morning Church School was always blessed with the presence of Brother Jack & Sister Dorothy Boyd. They never missed a Sunday unless they were out of town or ill. Their passion was always to know God's Word and serve Him, their presence was always illuminated the light of Jesus the Christ and their purpose was always to do what Jesus would do.
I know that God is glad to have His child come home to Him and I know that The Church School team will miss Brother Boyd's engaging words of wisdom and his acts of love.
I am glad I got to know him. He will linger in my heart and mind. Because of him and his wife, Sister Dorothy, I can say that aging together is beautiful and I can only hope that my husband and I can walk in the love that they did as we walk deeper into our seasoned years.
Sister Dorothy, God has you in His hands and we have you in our hearts.
You'll never be alone.
Love you always
Sister Audrey Scott-Hynson and Reverend Hynson

We were so sad to hear of the pasing of our fellow church member Mr. Boyd. He was such a joy to see at church, and all church functions. His relationship with his wife and children was truly a Godsend and a role model to all. We feel blessed to have known him for this short time. I have known Melissa for a long time as a friend and a sorority sister. After meeting her parents I realize now why she is such a wonderful person. I pray that God comforts you, and we will continue to keep you and your family in our prayers.
