John went to Brandywine High School with me back in the early 90s. He was a freshman when I met him. He was a hilarious individual who kept me laughing. The last time I saw John was a few years ago. When I saw this in the paper today, I couldn't believe it. Although I hadn't seen him in a long time, i'm truly going to miss him.

He was young his life just begun
Why did he have to go so soon?
Why wonâÂ(TM)t the sorrow disappear?
Why canâÂ(TM)t I stop the shedding of tears?
I didnâÂ(TM)t get a chance to tell you how much I care, or
How much I enjoyed the things we shared.
Lord I ask you to please send this message to my angel that is standing next you
âÂoeThank you for being a friend and a teacher and I know we will see each other
Again.âÂÂ

To Dianita & Family:
You are in my prayers. I am very sorry to hear about your loss again in such a short time, as it was only a few months past that you and your family were grieving the loss of your brother. God is too good to make a mistake, and He will send a comforter as He said in His word. Know that John is in the most capable hands there is, and he's now enjoying the company of his dad, uncle, and grandfather. To God be the Glory for the things He has done.
Cheris & John Allen

John,
I just seen you a couple of months ago maybe less than that. As usual you made your way in to see me with that beautiful smile before you left the Court House. We laughed and you told me to be a real friend and answer my phone sometimes. I told you that I am always too busy to talk or call anyone. How I do regret not answereing your calls all the time. You were my friend, you made me laugh. You always thought about me enough to call and leave me caring messages. I was so happy to see you this morning for the last time. There was so much I wanted to say, there was so much I needed to say, but then my heart became so heavy with sadness I couldn't find the right things to say. When I got in my car I laughed and I cried. Laughed at our crazy long conversations even the converstions when you were always trying to order something off T.V. Cried because I always thought you would be here to make me laugh. I love you so much. You are and will always be my friend. Mrs. Aiken

Well 27th Street will not be the same anymore. We will miss all the good times on the steps in the summer. Although I was fortunate to have you as a Friend for a short time you have touched my life in a special way. I will miss coming in from work and you telling me to hurry and get in the house. I looked at your house and there was one rose on the tree. That rose was you gracing us one last time. 27th Street for life. R.I.P. John

Our family would like you to know that we are praying that God will "strengthen you with might by His Spirit in your inner man" during this time and in the days to come.
We give God praise that "Butter" was born again because we know that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."
We love you and will always keep you in our hearts and in our prayers.
