Allen (Shorty) Bernard of Wilmington, DE, age 80 passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his mother, Viola Benson; his brothers, Kennard Benson and Daniel Warrick. He is survived by sons, Kevin Williams, John Williams, Michael Williams and Michael Gibson; daughters, Debra Reed, Michelle Williams and Stephanie Bernard; brother, John Ringgold; sisters, shirley Smith and Clara Walker; the mother of his children, Geraldine Robinson; 18 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Holy Anchor of Faith Church, 814 E. 13th St., Wilmington, DE. Viewing will be 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM.
