Dear Drakeford family,
I never had the chance to meet your family however I am a mother living in Edgemoor Gardens and I just felt it was only right to express my deepest condolences at this time. Loosing a child is a pain that NO mother should have to endure. My prayers go out to Nelson and his family.

Dear Family of Nelson Drakeford,
I was traveling in the south when my son received a text message that Nelson had passed. We all were extremely saddened to hear of Nelson's passing. I was Nelson's homeroom teacher in the 6th grade at Harlan. His smile would light up my classroom daily. Only prayer will get you thru, but God will do it.....

Hey I stop by your house today. A feeling came over me. I get this feeling deep in my stomach. I'm going to miss you sooooo much. I realize the love you had for me was more than I could ever know. I finally relized how much you cared the day after you passed and I came to your house to show my respects. Your sister grabbed me and hugged me so tight. Nelson she cried on my shoulder. That was the first time I had ever met her but, she knew exactly who I was. I had to turn my head to hold back the tears. I never got to tell you that I loved you so here it goes. "Nelson I love you with all my heart". I will miss you deeply you will always be in my thoughts. All my love....
He was a great person inside out you never come across one such as great. Hold on to the ones you love tomorrow isn't promised....
I also would like to thank his family and friends for there support....
My prayers go out to his family and friends....
Sincerely,
Chabreena J. Dixon

Zenobia, I know that words can't express how heavy your heart is right now. There is no greater sorrow than the loss of a child. But we here at the hospital,"your work family," are here for you. But no one will be there for you and your family like God can. Give it to Him, because He has sight beyond what we see. And as time passes and people around you aren't there anymore, He'll still be there. Especially in the midnight hour when you can't call on anyone else. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. If you need me just call.
