Obituary of Carolyn E. Hallman

Carolyn E. Hallman ("Sweet"), 79, was called back to the Lord, Wednesday, Jul. 30, 2008. Viewing will be held 5:00-7:00 PM, (OES, PHA service at 6:15 PM) Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008 immediately followed by funeral services at House of Wright, 208 E. 35th Street, Wilmington, DE. Repast will be held at the Kingswood Community Center, 23rd & Bowers Street, Wilmington, The graveside service will be held 9:30 AM, Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008 at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE. Carolyn is survived by three sons: William E. (Jamilah) Hallman II, Ahmal H. (Bridget) Hallman and Gamel H. (Nisha) Hallman; five sisters: Edna E. (William) Page, Annie P. Croom, Vernita M. Croom, Doris J. (John) Savage, Gail (Alton) Collins; four brothers: John L. (Catherine) Croom Jr., James H. (Virginia) Croom, Napoleon N. (Sylverta) Croom, Oliver M. Croom; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Carolyn was preceded in death by mother and father: John L. and Minnie L. Croom; three siblings: Nina Croom Ashley, Gertha Lee Croom and Willie Leslie Croom. The family of the late Carolyn E. Hallman ("Sweet") would like to thank House of Wright, Heartland Hospice and all other health care provider's for their comfort and care. We would also like to thank the Eastlawn community for their outreach, support and lifelong fellowship. Additional thanks to OES, PHA.
