My sympathy goes out to the family. I didn't know Willie that well but he was a good friend to my brother Michael Diggs. I know that Willie is resting in peace as my brother is also. They are probably happy to each other talking and gossiping about whatever. They always where on the phone together gossiping! Again my heart goes out to the family. I am deeply sorry for your loss and he will not be forgotten.

To the Canty Family,
I was a member of the Del-State Gospel Choir when Willie was the Director. His spirit and laughter will no doubt be missed. Though we love him and will miss him, no that GOD loves him BEST.

To the Family of Willie Canty,
Another piece of my heart was torn off when I heard of Willie's passing. He indeed was loved and admired by all of us who were members of the Carl Seabrook Memorial Choir of Hopewell Baptist Church in Carneys Point, NJ. Even though we thought he was a bit hard, tough, and frank, we still loved and respected him. Those of us who couldn't sing, could sing when Willie finished with us. Those of us who never led a song ever, led a song or two after Willie taught, preached, fussed, called on the Lord and even laughed at and with us. Even though we knew we couldn't sing, when Willie was done with us, he had us believing that we could. He had more faith and belief in us than we had in ourselves. We learned so much from him. For this, we will never forget him. He will forever be in our hearts. He will be missed.

To the Canty Family,
I served as the DSC Chior president for the 1988-1989 school year, while Willie directed the choir. One of my favorite songs he taught was "Delived, I've been set free" This is Willie's testimony today as we celebrate his life. I look forward to singing with him again in the heavenly choir. 'For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven wieth a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.' We comfort you with these words. Our prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Mighty in God's Love,

To the Canty Family,
Be assured and rest in the bosom of Christ knowing Willie may not taste of death. In the book of Matthews, the word reads, " And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death."

To The Canty Family:
Willie IS an awesome man of God. His musical gift touched the lives of sooooooo many people. I remember singing with Willie when we were teenagers and that was a little more than a few years ago.
I just talked with Willie on the 13th of March and we laughed and joked about the "Good Old Days" !!Who would ever thought a week later
he would be gone!!!!!!
It's sad on one side and then it's a Happy time for Willie!!! He's free from pain and suffering, he's rejoicing with his Mom and most of all he's lived so that he can Live again!!!!!
To Willie's family mourn for your season beacuse to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!!!!

To the family of Willie
My husband Al and I extend to you our most heartfelt sympathy in the loss of Willie, a good and kind young man. Willie lived to take care of his mother, and now joins her along with Aunt Doris in that mansion in the sky. Yet, they cannot crown Him until we get there. My grandson "Doobie" being a part of your family, no matter the circumstance has also suffered a greatloss; his aunt/godmother, then his counsin/godbrother in just a few months. United, we bow humbly to the will of the most high God. We love all of you and pray that God will sustain you in these trying times. Be encouraged no matter what, God will take care of you.
Ms. Delores and Al Nelson
